Question:

Does the structure of the Shakesperean 'Globe theatre' have any significance to why it was built?

I'm doing a research on the 'Shakesperean Globe Theater' and I am wondering if the structure of the building had unique features or any features what-so-ever affecting the actor's perfomances...OR any information you can think of will help! Thanks!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: yes. i believe it was the first theater to have the seats slanted rather than the actors. because before, the stage used to be at a slant because the audience was flat. thats why dancers still refer to the different parts of the stage as "up" stage or "down" stage. but you might want to check that, just in case, but i'm almost positive
