I have a 5 octave range. It's not impossible!! How many octaves are in your vocal range?

Most people think that 5 octaves is impossible to acheive. However,it's not! I have 5 octaves!! Yet, I'm only a Tenor 1!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I have an extremely difficult time believing this. I honestly would have to hear it for myself. I know that some claim that Mariah Carey has such a range as this, but I hear her groveling at "low" notes (like below middle C), and there's no way she could possibly sing the top note on the piano, so it makes impossible for her to have that. I had a four octave range when I was a music major, but that was extremely pushing it. I was into the whistle range on top and chest voice below. I think that you should say what notes you are able to achieve by singing. For instance, I had the d below middle c all the way to 3 octaves above the middle c. What is your range SPECIFICALLY? I have a hard time believing this. With all my years of listening experience, I've never heard anyone close to 5 octaves- EVER.
