im a soprano... i have a very wide range, 4 octaves. i can sing really high and kinda low ish, so id like to show it all off. Im going out for Belle in beauty and the beast. any ideas? thanks!!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: When you are auditioning you don't necessarily want to show off what you can do, but what the character must do that you can do really well. Usually when you go to auditions for musical theatre shows, you are asked to bring 16 bars of music. There is a sheet music book, The 16-bar Theatre Audition, that excerpts the most appropriate parts of audition songs. There is one for mezzos and one for sopranos. "Home" is in the soprano book, and I believe that "a change in me" is in the mezzo book. There are 100 songs in each book - and each song is cut down to about 16 bars. Good luck.
