Calling all sax or woodwind players!!!?

I'v been doing some search on some reeds. I currently use Rico Royal plastic covered reeds with a metal mouth piece. Now I'm looking at synthetic reeds! I know they last much longer, but how is the quality and do they affect your tone at all! What are your opinoins toward them?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I have a bari (brand) synthetic reed. I personally don't like them. They don't give a good tone, and they are a pain because they dry up instantly so if you sit for a few minutes between playing it is like starting cold all over again. I'd personally stick with regular reeds.
