Question:

In Chicago, do you have to have a liscence to play in public?

I really need to get a viola upgrade, but I don't have a job, I spend all of my time doing extracirrucular activities and practicing, and 4 hours of homework almost daily. But rarely, on saturday afternoons, i have a few hours to spare. according to many people, I play well(I actually suck) and some of my closest friends are urging me to drop an activity or two, but i don't see that happening.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: i see people playing all the time and im sure not all of them have permits, but if you want to be safe you can get one. i'm sure no police are going to stop and ask to see your permit.
