Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you're not willing to put in a lot of time and hard work, you are not cut out to be a song artist. Developing this skill takes practice, discipline, and dedication. It doesn't seem like you have any of that.

You should change your attitude first, and approach song writing/performance with a more serious attitude. If you want to write great lyrics, read books, poetry, and other song lyrics written by the masters. If you want to write great melodies, harmonies, and music, study music theory and learn to play the piano as well as the guitar.
