has anyone ever tried pro scouts -modeling agency? is it safe? are there any other modeling or acting agenceys on so cal? please help! thanks!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: ProScout isn't a modelling agency. They may help you get "discovered" by actual modelling agencies, but they don't sign you themself.

I've gone to a ProScout audition before, and was selected to come to their convention to meet with various casting companies and modelling agencies that they bring to the convention. But they charge you $700 just to attend. I thought the money wasn't worth it, and many testimonials that I've read about peoples' experiences with ProScout were negative.

If you have the money to throw around to go to their convention and have a small chance of being discovered, go ahead. But I have heard that a better way to get discovered is to research modelling agencies for yourself, and send them a letter and a headshot.
