Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: All I can say is the broadway show is amazing! There is so much more detail in it - Mark gives a bit more story line as he narrates the story. The Christmas carolers add depth to the story and time line. There are more songs to the play. It is a fun show to go to - the crowd gets into it (and it is the only Broadway play I've been to where the crown whistles and "cat calls" (to Mimi!)). Live music! It's amazing =) Go Go Go and see it as many times as you can!!!

The DVD is a good filler for when you cannot see it live. The basic story line is there, but it's just missing that special something that you get from the live show.
