In our Christmas performance, we are supposed to dress up like townspeople from Jesus's time at the manger.

Does anyone know how to easily make a costume or know of a good website that could help me?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Old terry cloth robes, simple "toga" like wraps, headdress, beards, etc. They were pretty simple, unadorned people who were functionally dressed, if not fashionably dressed.

Check out some period movies and note the costumes, then tone them down (remember, it's Hollywood).
