I'm starting a band and can't afford a P>A> at the moment, what can I plug my mic into?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: When you play out, any venue worth playing will have a PA (that even includes the trashiest punk rock dive bars, basements, and backyards) if someone puts on a show they should provide one-it's an unwritten rule.

If you're talking about for practice, you can run the mic through a ****ty guitar or bass amp, watch the gain though, and I wouldn't run it through your good amp, just in case. You could also check thrift stores for stuff like home kareoke(sp) machines.
