audition is 'I Dreamed a Dream' a proper song for?

Question:

What sort of singer/audition is 'I Dreamed a Dream' a proper song for?

I'd like to use 'I Dreamed a Dream as my audition song, but I don't know if it's proper for a singer like me. My range is, assuming middle C is C4, F2 (though I prefer not to sing so low as it rather strains my voice) to A5.
