Can anyone learn to sing well in their range?

Can anyone learn to sing well in their range?

I've heard that while you cannot really extend your vocal range, with training anyone can learn to sing very well in the range they do have. Is this true?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Off course anyone can, with practise, dedication to the craft, and with care. I started off with a one and a half Octave range...six years later, I have a three and a half octave range, going on to four. All I need to do now is strengthen my Falsetto and those elusive low notes...I currently am at a D for the bass.
