Why are agents in Hollywood so stuck up?

I'm an aspiring model/actress and I called some for potential representation and all they do is give me attitude...

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It could be the approach you're taking. Instead of calling, maybe they would prefer a portfolio/bio of you. You could give them your photos and resume' with all of the classes you've taken along with listing your experience and previous jobs.

Keep in mind though, I did say "maybe". One of the best things you can do is to find out the way these agents prefer to be approached. In their view, a phone call out of the blue isn't what
they would consider professional and it could be the reason you are getting so much attitude. Maybe they are accustomed to being introduced through a friend or aquaintance, something like that.
