Choosing A Song [help ASAP]!?

I'm auditioning for a fine arts school, and I have no idea what songs to sing!

I'm an alto with an approximate range from C on a bass scale to the highest G on the treble clef scale.

Help??!

I don't have a song list or anything. The audition instruction sheet said to pick three or four of my favorite songs (lasting a total of eight to ten minutes) to sing, so I'm thinking they meant whatever contemporary music I like and can sing well.
