Question:

Any costume/prop/skit ideas based on the topic of overprotection???

i'm presenting an interactive seminar based on my article abt parental overprotection. anyone have any ideas on how to make it interesting....skits, costumes, songs, anything???
haha, i was planning on doing something involving heavyweight armour (to show that although it's there to protect you, it can actually weigh you down). much thanks in advance!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Skit Idea:
Kid: See ya mom.
Mom: Hold it young man. You are not leaving this house without a coat.
Kid: Ok. Got it. See ya.
Mom: Do you have your gloves and cap?
Kid: Mom!
Mom: Don't "Mom" me. Get your gloves and cap
Kid: I got em Mom. My gloves are in my coat pocket. See ya.
Mom: Wait a minute. Here let me put some sun block on your nose and ears.
Kid: MOM! It's winter.
Mom: What? So the sun don't shine in the Winter? Skin cancer is a killer. Stand still.
Kid: Fine. Now are you happy?
Mom: Don't forget to buckle up. Seat belts save lives.
Kid: Alright.
Mom: And don't speed. An accident will really slow you down. Just drive the speed limit.
Kid: Right.
Mom: Watch for the other drivers. Not everyone is as cautious as you, you know.
Kid: Got it.
Mom: What time will you be home?
Kid: I don't know 9 or 10.
Mom: Which? How will I know you're ok, if I don't know what time to expect you?
Kid: Expect me at 9:30
Mom: Ok, but don't be late. You know how I worry.
Call me if you have any trouble.
Kid: Ok, I will.
Mom: Wait. I hate to ask you this, but as your parent it's my job.
Kid: Now what!?
Mom: Do you have protection?
Kid: MOM!
Mom: It's nothing to be embarrased about. I just want you to be safe.
Kid: Mom, I'm wearing a cap, gloves, a coat, a sweater, and sunscreen. The chances of me needing "protection" are pretty slim, if you know what I mean.
Mom: Don't get smart with me. Can I help it if I want to protect you? Do you have any idea what it would do to me if anything happened to you?
Kid: So who are you really protecting me, or you?
Mom: Someday when you have kids of your own you'll know what I am going through.
Kid: Mom, I promise to come home to you just the way I left... a neurotic mess! (Kid exits)
Mom: (Calling out after the kid) Be sure to wash your hands when you tinkle!
