im doing a stage management course as part of my GCSE does anyone have any tips? exp. about the lighting part ! thanks

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There is an entertaining online course which teaches you about the basics of lighting. It is for TV and not for the stage but you'll find it interesting and much of it is still relevant.

In stage lighting you also need to know how to stop lights from falling on people. How they are fused. How to mark up a script with lighting cues. How not to set fire to things.

I think that lighting has too many health and safety issues to allow GCSE students to get actual hands on experience.
