Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Get the best teacher you can afford and practice, practice, practice!
Check all your local music schools and colleges for references to a trainer or teacher. Be sure to have him teach you how to practice and use your instrument. I wanted to be a singer, but did not have the instruction I needed and ended up doing something else.
If you love beautiful singing I recommend you listen to the Irish tenors for some incredible examples of bella voci (beautiful voices).
