I would check by holding my nose and seeing if there was a difference in the way I sounded. I started wering nose clips. Now I don't sing AH EH OO OH out of my nose. But I still do for EE (as in nEEd). I need an experienced singer to tell where my tounge and jaw should be when singing EE.
