Romance/Romance....originally starred Scott Bakkula (before Quantum Leap) and Alison Frasier

It is two one-act musicals with music by Hermann about aspects of love....the first act is in the early 1900's, and the second act is in the 90's.....two main characters, fabulous music, and an entertaining twist on romance, with the two actors playing totally different characters in the second act.

The Last Five Years....starred Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Renee Scott (both of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Fame)

This musical was written in 2002 by celebrated composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Songs for a New World) It is a musical loosely based on Jason Robert Browns own failed marriage, and it covers a five year relationship from meeting to marriage, and finally divorce. The non conventional aspect of this musical is that it has almost NO dialogue, and seems more like a song cycle than a musical (definatley NOT an opera).....but the real twist is the fact that Jamie (the male) tells the story from beginning to end, while Cathy tells the story in reverse.....the only time they are both on the same page is the wedding scene.....brilliant!
