Question:

Generally, how long to develop vibrato, sautille, staccato, and other violin effects?

Further, how long does it (generally) take to learn your first "complicated" piece on violin? Weeks? Months? Years?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: As my private teacher in college told me, it takes 10 years to get bad at violin. Just keep working on it. If you decide that you should master vibrato in 2 months you'll go crazy. It'll all come with careful practice and persistance. Each time will get better.
