The first one, the woman tells about how her husband worked on the railroad and there was an accident and they brought him home in a basket. The other is about a woman who couldn't have children. She tells about getting engaged to a man who said he didn't care that she was barren. Then suddenly he changed his mind and called off the wedding.

Both are very powerful monologues.
