How can i improve my singing voice?

I really love to sing. I am a decent singer. I already took voice lessons but I want to get better! Any suggestions? Maybe some good excercizes?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: When I was younger I always thought I was an okay singer too. I took voice lessons, singing mostly pop-musical theatre songs. While this was helpful, and I got a lot of experience, it wasn't until I started studying classical voice that I truly became the musician I am today. Yes, I know that classical singing isn't cool and we always think of it as boring, but the skills you gain are invaluble. My voice teacher always says that you have to learn have to sing right, before you can sing well. I would highly reccomend trying classical singing, and mastering the techniques of proper musicianship. While some people are truly talented singers without the aid of a classical background, its always best to have it to fall back on. With my more legit training, I've become a talented singer who can sing a high C and belt along with the pop singers. Best of luck to you!
