This is the beginning of newspapers moving away from being sponsored by political parties and also becoming cheaper and more open and honest!. Therefore, in this period and especially right at the very beginning of the 1900s you see newspapers that are doing investigative journalism, muckrakers as they were referred to, and for the first time they are beginning to expose the evils of the "Gilded Age" and the exploitation of people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
