Question: Why was the reconstruction of the US after the civil war a good thing for the country!?

Yes it was, reconstruction to the bits of the country that had been destroyed or damaged helped make the ones that lived near the area of the destruction a little bit happier, it also meant that the US could make a better profit by repairing its destroyed areas!.

If you asking why did the North bother helping the south after they had a big war, well the answer would be because it is the moral thing to do, after all the leaders made the dissensions not the people!.
