Where was Abraham (of the Bible) from!? Where was Moses from and where were Isaac and Ishmael (also from the Bible) from!? I know I should know this but I am lost!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's a lot of questions!

According to the Book of Genesis, Abram, his original name, which means "honored father" lived near the city-state of UR in what we now call Iraq!. It was near that city that he first heard the voice of Elohim telling him to take up all he owned and go to the place that the voice would show him!.

The voice led Abram to the land of Canaan, in the highlands of what we now call Israel!. It was there that his sons, Ishmael and Isaac were born!. There's a place near jerusalem called "Beth-El" (the house of God) where it's believed that Abram (later Abraham - Honored Father of Nation) built an altar and sacrificed to God!.

Moses was born in Egypt in the city of Avaris, an ancient capitol!. Remember, he was drawn from the water and raised as a prince of Egypt!? Once again, this is according to the Bible in Exodus!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Abraham was from Ur of the Chaldeans, although there is some argument over whether that is in upper or lower Mesopotamia!. Isaac and Ismael were his sons, both born in Canaan!. Moses was born in Egypt while the Israelites were enslaved there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
