1!. Allowed people to cast their ballot without the pressure of other voters, or politicians knowing who they voted for!.

2!. Took the election of Senators from the state legislators back in the hands of the people!.

3!. Allowed all people to vote, increasing the influence of all people!.

4!. Took the decision of who ran for public office from powerful, insider caucuses, and into the hands of the people!.
