What do you think was the Greek's greatest contribution to society today!? I have to write a paper on it but the Greeks have contributed so much to todays world, I can't choose one!!

The Ancient Greeks contributed tons of culture and arts to the modern world, but one of their greatest contributions to the world we know today is the democracy!. The idea of government by the people for the people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For me, it's the light bulb by Thomas Edison!.!.!.without it the world would still be dark, i think! lol!.!.!.

!.!.!.btw, electricity wasn't an invention, it was a discovery because the greeks in 600AD already knew about static electricity!.

The Writing!. Can you imagine a world without any writing!. No messages to loved ones, no books to read, no stop signs, no way to sign your checks which would exist anyways!. Everyone would be wondering why all the book stores are closed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How about poetry!? One of the greatest Greek poets was Homer!. He wrote the Illiad and the Odyssey!. The Illiad tells the story of the Trojan War, and the Odyssey tells the story of the journey home by the soldier and king, Odysseus!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
