Yes, he did!. He wanted to show how dangerous his rival Nichola Tesla's alternating current (AC) was in comparison to Edison's own patented direct current (DC)!. There's an excellent bit of information on that attached below which explains how the elephant got involved!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
