The Spanish conquistadors brought with them the deadliest weapon known to man- disease!. The natives hand no immunity to them and some historians estimate that as many as twenty million died from these diseases!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Murder is a legal term for killing someone against the law!.
Killing Indians has not always been against the law!. Killing Indians in a war was certainly not against the law!.Therefore very few Indians were `murdered`!.!.!.The Brits killed very few Indians!. There were a couple of minor up-risings in western Canada!. And all the indians in Newfoundland died,, generally by starvation!. I do not know much about the Spanish or Portuguese conquest of South America!.
In both areas I think more Indians died due to diseases brought from Europe than by being killed by whites!.I am certain Americans killed far more Indians than the Brits did!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you use the word murder, then we are clearly referring to the white settlers in North America, including Brits and Frenchmen, Spaniards settled the lands and were for the most parts accompanied by priests, their aim was to convert the Heathen, not kill them!. Still, theywipedd out great chunks of the Aborigines because they infected the indians with small pox, gripe and a lot more forms of european diseases, cuz there was a lot more of inter-mingling with the native!.

So the answer is American european settlers!.

Difficult to known but the european settlers left behind in north America long after the brits left wiped the rest out in a genocide!. They still occupy America today living on stolen land!. The brits relativly speaking did not wipe that many out!. It was only when the settlers moved into central America that things got real bad for the American native indians the true owners of America!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

would have to be Spaniards, because the vast majority of native-Americans lived in their area!. For example, Mexico alone at the time of the Spanish conquest had over 10 million people; some estimates of the continental US - before the Europeans - are as low as 5 million!.

But, murder!?!.!.!.!.80% of natives perished due to illnesses brought by Europeans, unintentionally!. That could be 95% of the actual casualties!. And, populations recovered to pre-discovery numbers by at latest the early 19th century!.

There is some truth in most of the answers and I have seen very LITTLE attempt to actually lie to advance politically correct agendas!. The answers sort of depends on "viewpoint"!.

Read this quickly because it will probably be yanked as most of my posts on Amerindians are!.

The Spanish killed more IN THE AREAS THAT THEY ACTUALLY SETTLED AND BUILT in!. The British did more "pushing out"!. As a result though, the Amerindians themselves killed off other Amerindians though, with the North American Indians being almost totally wiped out while the South American Indians that lived further into the jungles survived and then moved into the voids left by the Indians that the Spanish Killed!.

The Spanish were much better at turning the Indians against each other though!. They would come in and free an enslaved tribe that had been conquered by another tribe (such as the Aztecs) and those newly freed tribes helped wipe out the Aztecs!. The Brits on the other hand would use payment t Indian tribes in either trade-goods, or the promise of land to set the Northern tribes against each other!. The only ones who actually tried to get a long with the Amerindians a little were the French!.!.!.!. and they lost everything in the end!. Part of this though, is due to the fact that they used the Amerindians against other Europeans much more than the Bits did!. Overall they were much more ruthless by European standard than either the Britts or the Spanish when it came to using the Amerindians!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
