Well I think that question has been answered in the Bible!. Caesar, admittedly Augustus, did do battle with Christ!. The battle was not between armies as Christ refused to bring forth an army of angels but rather became a battle of ideas!.

Christ was crucified, Caesar won at that point!.
Then Christ came back to life, defeating death and Caesar (if you believe the Bible) and offered forgiveness of sins!. So you decide who won!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
