Because a group of states wanted to leave the existing country because they felt they were being treated unfairly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the southern states only agreed to sign the first revolution if the constitution didn't say "All men are created equal"
100 years later, after the civil war, that could be rewritten into the constitution as it should have been from the start!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
