Question: Which American president/figurehead would you put on a piece of American currency!? Why!?
This doesn't include golden dollars or the new presidential dollars!. Just common currency (Although I suppose we can take JFK, on the half dollar, and add him to the list of people on common currency)!.

Answer and explanations (otherwise it sort of defeats the purpose of asking)

And no, this is not a homework assignment!. So you can save your speeches on that!. :-PWww@QuestionHome@Com

I've always thought Theodore Roosevelt deserved a spot on the currency!.

He was the fountainhead of the Progressive Movement, an internationalist, first American to win the Nobel Peace Prize, took on the big corporate trusts, and generally speaking, a great man!. He should be honored -- 'nuff said!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

FDR for many reasons:

1) he gave americans hope during the depression, which was something we really needed to survive during those years
2) his wife was also a huge symbol of hope for americans
3) he kind of extended the role of the president and gave them more power with the economy, politics, etc!.
4) during the great depression he would come up with a plan and if it didn't work, he would try something else!. he tried and tried until he got it right
5) he came from an extremely wealthy family but he truly did understand what the poor were going throughWww@QuestionHome@Com

I always thought that Thomas Jefferson got the shaft by only being on the nickel!. He was probably our smartest and best president ever; he should be on the $100 bill!. And John Adams showed tremendous courage and brilliance in actually designing this country, so he should be on the $50 bill or something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
