You can look at it by the progression of infrastructure (fastest change in buildings, cars, roads, etc!.), the most historical change, or any other way you see fit!.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I'm going to say the 40s!. Many advances created during the Second World War (say what you want about war, there are definitely innovations during that time) and then with the return home of the vets, America became dependent on cars, suburbs and much of the way of life that we know now!. I'm not saying it's all good, but I think it was the most "progressive" in that society progressed and changed rapidly at that time!. Ushering in the era of television, family-oriented entertainment, baby boomers, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1960'S - The whole world changed!.

Next probably the forties, but that was more of a tumultuous decade than a progressive!.

The rest were all about money, for the most part!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
