hindsight it 20/20!. In 1850 no one could have predicted the Civil War!. But the Compromise of 1850 did not start the Civil War!. The Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854, which expanded slavery, did!. The Compromise was a fair one because it slit the Mexican Cession territories equally between slave and free!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
