The aim isn't to have a fair battle, but to outnumber, outmanoeuvre, anything but be fair!

(the Parliamentary forces had between 3,500- 6,000 more men, but it was manoeuvre, command and control that decided the battle!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I odn't know whether it was fair or not, but it was a crushing defeat for the Royalists under Prince Rupert, by the Roundheads led by Sir Thomas Fairfax!.

I suppose you could say that it was unfair in the sense that the Roundheads by this time had a well-trained professional army, while the Royalist army was still made up largely of amateur soldiers!. But there wasn't really much that could have been done about that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
