Like what type of people were in those classes; priests, servants, pharaohs, etc!. Any good websites about Ancient Egypt!? What are some cool historic events that happened in Ancient Egypt!? Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The lowest class in ancient Egypt was made up of the peasant farmers, who grew the food for the country, and labourers and servants!. They would have made up the majority of the population!. Above them would be skilled artisans and craftsmen!. Then the scribal class, who made up the vast Egyptian civil service!. Then there would be the nobles!. The Pharoah would be at the top!. I think an interesting event in Egyptian history was the reign of Hatchepsut, the female pharoah!. She started off as regent for her nephew/stepson Tutmosis III, but ended up taking over completely and reigning for twenty years before Tutmosis III finally got to be ruler in his own right!. There had been other queens who had acted as regents for sons or nephews, but hatchepsut was the only one who took the step of actually having herself proclaimed pharoah!. And then there is th eheretic pharoah, Akhenaten, who tried to do away with the worship of Egypt's many gods and goddesses, and just have one god, the Aten, the sun disk!. The cult did not catch on with other Egyptians though,a nd after his death the worship of the traditional Egyptian d eities was restored!. The reign of Tutankhamun followed not long after, heis famous for having the tomb stuffed with treasure, by some miracle not robbed like other Egyptian tombs!. And then of course there is Rameses II, who built a lot of massive monuments, like the amazing temple at Aswan, for instance!.
