Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
There were a number of so-called "barbarian" peoples!. You had your Gauls, who lived in what is now France, you had your Visigoths and Ostrogoths (Western and Eastern Goths), who were mainly from what is now Germany!. There were the Alemans (also Germanic), and Vandals, and, from further East (Modern Hungary) the Huns!. And that's just a few of the major ones!. Each of them were a culture unto themselves!. As has usually been the pattern in history, nomadic, mobile tribesmen raided sedentary, agricultural, and city-dwelling peoples, eventually becoming assimilated among those they conquered!.
