Hi!. I may be having a test coming up and I think I'm missing some details from my study guide!.

Identify some positive and negative effects of British rule in India!. (Maybe three or so)!.

Please don't give me sites, since I have already searched, but can't find specific things!.!.!.

Negative-- Indian raw materials were going to waste because they were forced to import from England to give England money!. Although Britain established a government in India, they did not allow natives to serve in the government offices!. Traditional craft industries (ship building, etc!.) were eliminated causing the unemployment rate to rise!.

Positive-- When the British colonized India they built 40,000 miles of railroad and 70,000 miles of paved roadway!. Spread of cultivation and industry!. No famines!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
