Question: How would the world be different today!?
What if France, England, and other Christian European countries would have been able to hold on to Jerusalem after the Crusades!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

John, that is incredibly racist, for a start, and it is also inaccurate!. First of all, there are still Native Americans throughout the US and Canada!. Second, there are still Christians in Jerusalem and have been since Christianity was founded, despite Muslim and Jewish control!. Third, there are a lot of Christian Arabs in that area as well as in Lebanon and parts of Syria and Turkey!.

To answer the original question, it would probably be worse!.

Arab Muslims controlled northern Africa and the areas that were then known as the Ottoman Empire and Persia!. The Ottoman Empire used to be the Eastern Roman Empire run from Constantinople, or the City of Constantine!. The Ottomans took over and called the city Byzantium!. It is now Istanbul!. The Ottomans attacked eastern Europe regularly!.

The Crusades were fought before Protestantism took hold in Europe!. Most of the Christian countries that sent forces to Jerusalem were, at the time, hugely anti-Jewish, and many also later had major Protestant risings!. England became Protestant (Anglican) from the top down when Henry VIII divorced the first time!. Various among the German city-states became Protestant, and Germany is where Martin Luther started Lutheranism!. France had the Huguenots as well!. These Catholic countries were suspicious of Romania, Greece, and Russia, all of whom were Eastern Orthodox Christians!. These countries also hated Jews with a passion, blaming them for the Black Death, forcing them to wear certain clothing, live in ghettoes, and keep certain hours and barring them from certain professions!. For a time, Spain was even controlled by north African muslims known as Moors!.

All in all, these countries probably would have lost Jerusalem a couple of centuries later!.

Had they kept it to this day, the Christian Arabs would be in control of what is now Israel, but Turkey and Iran, formerly the Ottoman and Persian Empires, would still be Muslim countries, and they would be sending huge amounts of weapons and people to try to get the Christians out of Jerusalem, rather than trying to get the Jews out of Jerusalem!. The Jews and Muslims would probably be on the same side in Jerusalem against the Christians, just as the Christian Arabs and the Muslim Arabs are against the Jews there today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't suppose things would be much different because that war continues on to this day!. I wouldn't expect the Middle East to be more peaceful or anything like that!. I don't see much that can be done to stop the fighting in that region, because to those people, this is a fight for God!. How do you convince someone to stop fighting for that!? Things would be the same as they are today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Then the same thing that happened to the American Indians would have happened to the Arab world!.

hmmmmmm, a world without Arabs!. How nice would that be!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
