Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Sherman went from Atlanta to Savannah up to Columbia South Carolina then ended up in Raleigh North Carolina in 1864!. Sherman was know for his great war tactics, not only did he burn Atlanta and everything else in his path he also de-railed railroads in the south so they couldn't get any supplies!.
