Quite easy!. The navigation acts were designed to force English goods to be shipped by English ships only!. At that time the British merchant marine was insignificant; the Dutch shipped everything!. That, understandably and deliberately lead to the thre Anglo-Dutch wars!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
