I know I've read the letter that you mention, but I can't cite specifics off-hand!. Hopefully you have the letter and can get the specifics!.

Basically, the Chinese authorities weren't happy about the British trading opium within China because it was being done to such an extent that it was affecting the productivity of Chinese workers and have negative effects on Chinese society!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
