Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Andrew Johnson (1868) and Bill Clinton (1998)!. Richard Nixon would have been included in that list had he not resigned before his impeachment proceedings officially began!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Canada has NEVER had a leader who was impeached!. The closest we came to this was in 1925, when PM King asked the governor-general for an election to be called!.!.!.!.So he could avoid being censured for corruption!. The GOvernor General, Lord Byng, at first refused, then abruptly got his election wish!.

Brilliantly, King took attention away from corruption completely, by focusing the next election on the 'constitutional crisis!.' (Because the Governor GENERAL at first refused his call for an election>) He called the whole refusal problem 'British interference', labelling Byng as the tool of the British!. (Even though he was born in Canada!.) The whole corruption issue was forgotten, and King won a tremendous electoral victory!.

Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were both impeached (which is the equivalent of being indicted) by the House of Representatives, then tried and acquitted by the Senate!. Richard Nixon resigned just in time to avoid impeachment!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were both impeached, which does not mean removal from office but simply that charges were filed!. Only Richard Nixon has resigned from office and no one has ever been removed from the Office of President!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
