The Black death usually refers to the Bubonic plague when it swept through Europe killing,I think< a third of the population!. it started in the Far East and took this heavy toll in the 1300s!. There were periodic bouts of it through the ages and no one realised it was the flea of an infected rat which bit humans and spread the disease!. The Plague of London was at its height in 1665 and to avoid it rich people left the city!. The Great Fire of London brought it to its end in 1666!. Of course the rats got killed so that might have been the reason it stopped!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

similarities: filthy conditions and inadequate cleaning, possibly the same type of Plague!.
Differences:
1different centuries(1300's for the great plague, and there were actually about six different plagues in London since 1066, but the biggest one were in the 1500's and 1600's)
Area of the infection All of Europe and some of the Middle East for the Great Plague, London and the surrounding counties for the London Plague)
Not the same exact disease(it didnt lie dormant for 200 years)

(dont have proof) how they dealt with the dead bodies were defferent!.

Monty Python was not far from the truth when they did a the parody "Bring us Your Dead!"Www@QuestionHome@Com
