Yes, like the Goths, Visigoths, Russ, Franks, Gauls, Therungians, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Lombard(i)s, and many others, they were Teutonic/Germanic people who all originated from Scandinavia, and settled in part every nation of Europe!. We have no way of knowing exactly what the Normans predominant feautures were as individuals, but can be confident they looked very much like the peoples of western Europe do today, simply smaller in stature due to less nutrition in that period!. Note to "Roderick": Danes are themselves Germanic/Teutonic people, like all Scandinavian people of the time!.!.!. the only notable exception being the 40,000 or so Saami/Lapp peoples across Scandinavia (living in Sweden, Norway - but not Iceland and Denmark) as well as Finland and Russia, who are of separate indigenous stock related to the Finnish/Korean/Turkic/Mongol linguistic and genetic origins!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Broadly; first the original inhabitants, about whom we know little, except that they built Stonehenge!.
