Zachary Taylor ran for president in 1848 with Fillmore as his VP!. Taylor won and became president in 1849!. He died of a mysterious illness in July, 1850!. Fillmore served out the rest of Taylor's term, but was never elected president in his own right!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
