Simple answer to a simple question!.
YES!Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Common Sense" is correct!. He would not fit the current concept of "gay!." He would be categorized as bisexual!. Men having sex with young men or boys was not unusual for the Greeks/Macedonians of his time!. It was generally accepted as fairly "normal!." It does not seem normal to me, but I am not from Alexander's time and place in history!. He was certainly not effeminate!. He was a daring commander who risked his life many times at the head of his cavalry!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, he definitely had strong feelings for one of his commanders, Hephaestion!. They were often compared in their own time to Achilles and Petrocholus from The Illiad, who definitely were gay!. When Alexander arrived in Turkey, he landed on the shore dressed as Achilles, while Hephaestion was dressed as Petrocholus, which is a pretty strong hint!.

Other than that we can't be sure!. Most of the information we have about Alexander comes from the Romans, for whom homosexuality was considered more scandalous than it was for the Greeks!.

Alexander did have wives, but it was common for Greek kings to marry woman from other nations simply to seal alliances!. So whether or not Alexander was actually attracted to these women is debatable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Alexandra was a lesbian, but she was good!
Alexander may have been,he might have gone both ways,it was common back then!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
