866 were picked up by the Carpathia and taken to New York!. There were reportedly 2,200 passengers on the Titanic when she hit the iceberg!.
The Virginian arrived too late and found no survivors by the time it got there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The RMS Carpathia picked up the survivors and took them to New York City!.
