The greatest personal achievement:

Catherine the Great!. She convince the Russian court to put her in power though she was not Russian herself, nor had any claim to the throne!.

The greatest achievement overall:

Elizabeth the Great

Not only did Elizabeth disprove the belief that a woman could not rule a country alone, she brought England into a golden age!. Under her writers like William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe flourished and the arts were much loved, especially the theatre!. also this was when the English navy defeated the supposedly invincible Spanish Armada!. England became a rich and powerful country during her reign, indeed becoming the dominant world power!. Her country loved her!. When she gained the throne it was through much turmoil, and there was constant bickering between Protestant and Catholics!. By the time of her death it was a time of peace!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Alexander the Great I believe had the greatest impact on History!. He conquered vast lands that were uncharted or undocumented until his arrival!. He also went on the largest city building enterprise of the ancient world which established some of the oldest population centers still existing today!. also is impact Militarily was felt as he incorporated and introduced hellenic practices to several cultures!.
