The Renaissance came after the plague so during this time it was all about being alive and enjoying the time that you had on earth!. The art reflected that in the sense that it was more decadent!. It centered more around the physical pleasures rather than God and religion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mainly through humanist writings and art work!. For example, Castiglione created the idea of the courtier which introduced the use of mannors and how people in a society should act!. People began to live more courtiously and elequently!. People during the renaissance began to value achievement and accomplishment and over all enjoyed life more!. They wer inspired to be the best they could be and contribute as much as they could to society!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The writers, like Erasmus, wrote them down!. Other writers like Collucio Salutati (who introduced, or reintroduced, old Greek myths into the Western World!. If you look at sculpture and painting of the era when the Christian Humanists were operating and compared it with medieval sculpture and painting, you would see that they have resurrected the classical style of Greek art!.

You have to remember that the printing methods changed in 1451 with the "invention" of moveable type and that made the publications of books a much more rapid process compared with turning something over to a monk and having him transcribe it on another sheet of velum!.

Your assignment from me is to look up Erasmuc, Salutati, Machievella, and other humanists that you know of!. Look through a book that has medieval art in it and compare it to Renaissance art and the difference will be simple to see!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
